Rare Italian IRMEL Direct-Flame Espresso Maker "NovaEspress"
Thank you for viewing.
■ This espresso maker is a type of stovetop espresso maker (moka pot) made of 99.5% pure aluminum.
This is a vintage stovetop espresso maker (moka pot) Nova Espress manufactured by IRMEL in Italy in the 1950s-1960s. Main features: Simultaneous brewing for two cups: It has a unique design where two demitasse cups can be placed side-by-side on the top plate, and coffee is poured simultaneously from the left and right nozzles. Cup warming function: During brewing, heat from the boiler is transferred to the aluminum support plate, allowing cups to be pre-warmed. Material: The main body is made of high-purity aluminum, and the black handle in the center is made of Bakelite (an early plastic material). While Bialetti's Moka Express is famous for its similar shape in recent years, this is a very rare collector's item that predates it.
■ It is possible that this item is no longer manufactured and can be found on online marketplaces as an antique.
